Angus International Business Center is honored to have been chosen as the venue for the Taipei regional finals of the 2023 Shanghai Cross-Strait Youth Entrepreneurship Competition.

The Shanghai Cross-Strait Youth Entrepreneurship Competition is guided by the SME Cooperation and Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion Working Group of the Cross-Strait Entrepreneurs Summit, jointly organized by the Shanghai Taiwan Compatriots Investment Enterprises Association, Shanghai Technology Entrepreneurship Center, Shanghai Youth Federation, Shanghai Employment Promotion Center, Cross-Strait Youth Entrepreneurship Incubator Alliance, Cross-Strait Entrepreneurs Association, and Hong Kong and Shanghai Youth Association.

The competition invites numerous venture capital institutions and well-known experts and mentors in the fields of law, taxation, and entrepreneurship from both sides of the strait. It serves as the optimal platform for entrepreneurial resource docking, investment and financing, and market expansion.

Since its inception in 2016, the Shanghai Cross-Strait Youth Entrepreneurship Competition has successfully held seven sessions, attracting over 8,000 young talents and 3,403 high-quality projects from home and abroad.

This year’s competition focuses on five major areas: optoelectronic chips, life and health, intelligent manufacturing, cultural creativity, and digital economy. After selecting 80 projects in the preliminary round on July 7, the semi-finals were held simultaneously in Taipei, Shanghai, and Guangzhou from July 26 to 28. Twenty projects were further selected for the final competition in Shanghai on August 29 through 8-minute project roadshows and 3-minute on-site defenses.

A total of eight projects from Taipei advanced to the semi-finals, and Angus is proud to have witnessed this grand event and wishes all participants success in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
